CARONNO PERTUSELLA, Italy — The U.S. U-15 Women’s National Team closed the 2025 WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup with a 4–0 victory over Mexico, earning the bronze medal and finishing the tournament with a 7–2 record. It marks the program’s second medal at the U-15 World Cup, following a gold medal performance in 2023.
Power and Precision Lead the Way
Team USA delivered a complete performance on both offense and defense, highlighted by a three-run home run from McKenzie Thomas, who drove in all four U.S. runs. After three scoreless innings, Thomas broke the game open in the fourth with a blast to left field, then added her fourth RBI with a bases-loaded walk in the sixth. Khloe Williams went 2-for-3 with a single and a double, providing the only multi-hit game for the U.S. and helping keep pressure on the Mexican defense throughout the contest.
Barnes Dominates in the Circle
Maci Barnes was outstanding in the pitching circle, striking out 10 batters and throwing a complete-game no-hitter to secure the shutout. Backed by flawless defense with no errors, the Eagles controlled the game from start to finish to lock up the bronze medal on Italian soil.
