OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (October 23, 2024) — The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) High School Fast Pitch State Championships took place from October 10-19, delivering a thrilling week of softball at Devon Park. Teams from Classes A through 6A battled for state titles in a tournament filled with incredible performances, showcasing Oklahoma’s best high school softball talent.
The tournament began with Classes A, B, and 2A competing from October 10-12, where the action was intense from the start. Class A, Class B, and Class 2A teams brought their best to OG&E Energy Field and INTEGRIS Field, with champions crowned on Saturday, October 12, after two days of exciting, nail-biting games.
The excitement continued in the second leg of the tournament, running from October 17-19, where Classes 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A faced off. Fans were treated to outstanding pitching, clutch hitting, and dramatic finishes, as teams across these divisions gave it their all in the fight for the state championship.
In the small school divisions, Caddo (Class A), Dale (Class 2A), and Stuart (Class B) claimed state titles. In the big school divisions, Lone Grove (Class 3A), Weatherford (Class 4A), Pryor (Class 5A), and Owasso (Class 6A) emerged victorious.
The tournament culminated on Saturday, October 19, with the final matchups for each class bringing the event to a thrilling close. The competition throughout the week demonstrated the exceptional talent across Oklahoma’s high school softball programs.
Once again, Devon Park, known as the Softball Capital of the World®, proved to be the perfect venue for the OSSAA State Championship Tournament. The event was a resounding success, and athletes and fans alike will remember it as one of the most exciting softball tournaments in recent history.
